projec provide a community-based kitchen facility to serve daily meals to 50 neglected elderly people living in a remote area in Guntur district, India. These individuals have been identified as being at high risk of starvation due to the COVID-19 and lack of support from family or neighbors. Some able-bodied women have expressed interest in participating in the cooking and serving of daily meals collectively. The goal is to raise $1000 to provide daily meals to to these 50 elderly for 2 months
The Covid pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges and hardships to millions of people around the world, especially the elderly. In Guntur, a district in Andhra Pradesh, India, at least 300 aged people living in slums and rural areas have been identified as high-risk cases of malnutrition and hunger. They are in dire need of humanitarian assistance and support from the government and civil society. They are not only the victims of Covid, but also the forgotten ones.
BASS India is a non-profit organization that provides daily nutritious meals to 50 vulnerable aged people at risk of starvation in Gntur . The micro Project aims to improve the health and well-being of these individuals by providing them with daily meals, conducting medical checkups, and creating a family-like atmosphere where they can care for each other and live with joy and happiness . This project will run for two months and aims to make a positive impact on the lives of these individuals
A community kitchen in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh will provide daily meals to 50 vulnerable aged people from a remote area.
