Empowering Youth in Cambodia's students come from slum communities yet have a great commitment and potential to excel in their lives. Through education and mentoring, we know these students will rise out of poverty and go on to help in the development of their families and community.
Young people entering the workforce are significantly lacking in the skills needed by employers, and therefore face barriers to quality employment.
Empowering Youth in Cambodia (EYC) provides direct support to youth to enable them to continue their high school and university educations, as well as extra curricular education including English for our most advanced students who require high level training not provided at EYC's schools.
Our students that have received scholarships and support have been able to reach a skill level needed to find quality jobs, and these 10 students who will benefit from this project will be granted a significant opportunity to step up as they enter the workforce.
