A year of meals for Nicholson

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
A year of meals for Nicholson

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for 13 year old Nicholson. Nicholson's dad died in the earthquake, and his mom couldn't care for him. She was forced to abandon him and his two younger brothers at the orphanage. Nicholson is a little charmer with a big smile and bigger dreams for the future. But without nutritious meals to keep him growing, Nicholson's future will be bleak.

Challenge

As an orphan, Nicholson is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't a nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for his basic needs. That means that, without your help, Nicholson may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving him more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Nicholson needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Nicholson needs, you're preventing illness and helping him grow up strong!
