"We’re inspired by the work of our newest nonprofit partners, each of them doing important work to improve lives and protect the planet," said Alix Guerrier, Chief Executive Officer of GlobalGiving. "They span 41 countries, meaning that their impact is truly global. We at GlobalGiving are privileged to have them in our community, and we look forward to learning with and from them as our partnerships continue into the future!"
The June 2020 Accelerator was the first onboarding campaign in GlobalGiving’s history to raise more than $1 million! It’s equally impressive that this cohort energized 11,000+ donors to support their incredible work during a particularly overwhelming time. Our newest partners are helping women flee domestic violence during COVID-19, empowering the North Kensington Children’s Orchestra to keep playing music, and supporting rural schools in Sri Lanka—and that’s only the beginning! We couldn’t be more proud of the 108 newest members of GlobalGiving’s community of changemakers.
"The support and encouragement from the GlobalGiving Team was incredible. They were so prompt and courteous in responding to any questions as well as authentically enthusiastic and caring. COVID-19 necessitated that For the Good pivot our programming with urgency to meet our mission and participating in the Accelerator offered us an additional framework for how to raise funds during this unexpected and un-budgeted for time. We're so glad we took part and can't thank GlobalGiving enough for what they’ve created."
